The Richmond Food Security Society is looking for volunteers to help out with their Get Rooted! Growing Youth Leaders in the Food Movement. The project is aimed at engaging and mobilizing youth to address the root causes of food insecurity and build a fair and sustainable food future.
There are two different roles to be filled:
- Volunteer project assistants: assist in the implementation of the project. Suitable for students in undergraduate/diploma studies, or a recent graduate looking for experience in project coordination. Deadline Mon March 9.
- Advisory committee members: folks with background/experience in education, food, youth work, or community service who will assist in the planning, promotion and evaluation of the pilot project.
