Our City Hall – Richmond is a non-partisan initiative that aims to hold candidates for mayor and council accountable to the community. This project has three stages:
- Community engagement: Through surveys, workshops, and tabling, we will gather input from Richmond residents on their priorities
- Policy synthesis: We will distill information we receive into 5-10 policy asks to send to all candidates
- Reporting back and follow-up: We will publish the list of candidates and the policies to which they committed — this will be followed by an all-candidates’ forum in the fall
Currently, we are in the first phase, and are seeking input through the following ways:
- Fill in our survey HERE: In 15 minutes, you can tell us what matters the most to you!
- Sign up to become a community conversationalist: Have a 15-30 minute conversation with at least 2 friends or family members, and report back on what they think — a $25 honorarium will be provided to thank you for your time
- Email us at info@richmondprc.org if you’d like us to facilitate a workshop with your group to have an in-depth discussion about election priorities, or if you’d like us to booth at an event
