New look for Richmond Poverty Reduction Coalition

We’re excited to introduce the new logo of the Richmond Poverty Reduction Coalition (RPRC)!

Our new logo represents who we are today and the work we continue to do together: building a Richmond where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity, security, and a sense of belonging. The new design was created for us by the talented SFU Blueprint team, who generously brought their design expertise and creativity to our organization. We are grateful for their work and for helping us develop a visual identity that reflects the spirit of our coalition.

A symbol of home, care, and growth

At the heart of the new logo is an image that brings together several ideas that are central to poverty reduction. The home represents the importance of safe, secure, and affordable housing — a foundation for individual and community well-being. The hands surrounding the home and growing plant represent care, support, and collective action. Poverty reduction is not something that can be achieved by one organization or one person. It takes residents, community organizations, service providers, governments, and advocates working together. And at the centre, the growing leaves speak to possibility, renewal, and growth. They remind us that when people have the support and opportunities they need, individuals and communities can thrive.

Together, these elements create a simple but meaningful symbol of what we believe: strong communities grow when everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

A new chapter, rooted in our mission

While our logo is new, our commitment remains the same. The RPRC brings together Richmond residents and agencies to work on issues that affect people experiencing poverty and to advocate for meaningful change. Our work includes research, community projects, public education, and advocacy on issues such as housing, income security, food access, transportation, and barriers that can contribute to poverty.

Our strategic priorities continue to guide this work, while new opportunities and community needs shape the projects we take on along the way. The new logo gives us a fresh way to share that work with the Richmond community. As we move forward, you’ll begin seeing the new logo across our website, communications, reports, events, and community initiatives.

We’re proud to share this new symbol with our members, partners, supporters, and the Richmond community — and even more excited about the work it represents. New logo, same commitment: working together toward a more equitable Richmond where everyone can thrive.
