The Eating Together Campaign, launched in 2011, is offering a complimentary pancake breakfast to raise awareness of the benefits of families eating together — research shows families who regularly share meals bond and connect more effectively, have fewer problems, and stay together. The event also raises funds for Touchstone Family Association’s barrier-free Front Porch Program, which provides counselling to families in need and have no place to turn. An afternoon of discussion on living wage will be taking place on Feb. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Kwantlen Polytechnic University Richmond Campus in Room 4900.
