From NIMBY to YIMBY: action planning forum March 21

March 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

from nimby to yimby poster

Greetings Richmond PRC friends and colleagues:

As you know, the province is intending to partner with the City of Richmond to build 40 supportive modular housing units with 24/7 support services for the most vulnerable people in Richmond struggling to find a stable place to live.

However, this supportive housing may be under threat. It is important to show Richmond City Council that the community is in support of this project, which will help people move off the street into a supportive environment. The Richmond Poverty Response Committee has agree to act as the lead on this issue.

To that end, an emergency action planning forum for community leaders to build public support for temporary supportive modular housing in Richmond will be taking place on Wednesday, March 21st.

Please RSVP to confirm your attendance to this important action planning forum at the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MP8S5T7 no later than March 20.

Join us to discuss a coordinated campaign of action that will educate the public, reduce stigma and increase support of this new development for those affected by homelessness:
